La Dolce Vita

The Moschino Cheap and Chic Resort 2012 Collection was inspired by the Rome of Federico Fellini’s « La Dolce Vita ».

Other « La Dolce Vita »-inspired collections or items : Fendi Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 (« Classico » bag), Fendi Pre-Fall 2011, Giulietta (this brand, launched in February 2011 by Sofia Sizzi, takes its inspirations in the Italy of « La Dolce Vita »), Les Prairies de Paris (in May 2008, in celebration of the 61st Cannes Film Festival, Laetitia Ivanez designed one « La Dolce Vita »-inspired outfit), Persol (in May 2010, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of « La Dolce Vita », Persol launched 2 Persol Vintage sunglasses, referenced PO 2977S, for women, and PO 2978S, for men), Terry de Havilland Autumn/Winter 2005-2006, Vera Wang Resort 2011 (« Ma Dolce Vita »).

Moreover, the Salvatore Ferragamo Autumn/Winter 2007-2008 and Valentino Boutique Spring/Summer 1995 campaigns, shot respectively by Mario Testino and Arthur Elgort, were influenced by « La Dolce Vita ».

Nobuyoshi Araki

Nobuyoshi Araki’s « Sensual Flowers » series inspired the floral prints of the Prabal Gurung Spring/Summer 2012 Show.

Other Nobuyoshi Araki-inspired collections : Alessandro Dell’Acqua Spring/Summer 2008, Costume National Spring/Summer 2012 (Nobuyoshi Araki’s florals were tacked on Ennio Capasa’s inspiration board), Ha SangBeg Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (influenced in part by Nobuyoshi Araki’s « Kinbaku »), Narciso Rodriguez Spring/Summer 2009, Sergio Rossi by Francesco Russo Spring/Summer 2012.

Moreover, in 1997, Nobuyoshi Araki collaborated on a dress (printed « Nude » and « Araki ») for the Pleats Please by Issey Miyake Collection, as part as the « Guest Artist » Series.
