Roy Lichtenstein

18 May

Roy Lichtenstein’s « No Thank You ! », « On » and « Spray » paintings inspired 3 dresses in the Lisa Perry by Roy Lichtenstein line, available from August 7th, 2012, in collaboration with the Estate of Roy Lichtenstein.

Other Roy Lichtenstein-inspired campaign, collections or items : Donna Karan (the ad campaign for the limited edition of the « Be Delicious » perfume, launched for Fall 2009, was influenced by Roy Lichtenstein’s portraits), Emanuel Ungaro Couture Spring/Summer 2003 (motifs inspired by Roy Lichtenstein’s portraits), Iceberg Autumn/Winter 2008-2009 (the comics print, the shapes and the surreal colors evoked Roy Lichtenstein), Moschino Spring/Summer 2011 Menswear (in part), Pierre Hardy (« Poworama » sneakers, launched for X-Mas 2011), Versace 1996 (« Whaam ! » dress), Versace Resort 2011 (the key pattern was the Roy Lichtenstein’s dot), Viktor & Rolf Autumn/Winter 2007-2008 Menswear (« Cosmopolocal » collection, with Roy Lichtenstein-style slogans), Yves Saint Laurent Couture Spring/Summer 1966 (collection based on Pop Art, partly Roy Lichtenstein’s works).

so cute! you should check out phillip lim’s pre-fall and fw12 collections – very roy lichtenstein-esque, and fw has a very sin city vibe!! i think my favourite lichtenstein piece is “drowning girl” 🙂
