Gypsies from the South of Italy influenced the Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci Couture Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 Collection.

Other Italy-inspired collections : Antik Batik Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 (this collection, designed by Gabriella Cortese and Georgina Brandolini, was an homage to their homeland), Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld Resort 2010 (dubbed « Coco on the Lido », this show, presented along the Venice Lido, was inspired partly by Luchino Visconti’s « Death in Venice »), Dolce & Gabbana (various collections are inspired by Sicily, especially the Sicily of Luchino Visconti’s « The Leopard », for their Autumn/Winter 1988-1989 collection, and Sicily’s tradition of white lace, for their Spring/Summer 2011 collection), Frankie Morello Spring/Summer 2012 (inspired by Italy, with prints of Italian monuments, including the Tower of Pisa and Michelangelo’s Statue of David), Giorgio Armani Spring/Summer 2006 (the accessories of this collection were based on Italian cities), Giorgio Armani Spring/Summer 2008 (Southern Italy), Giulietta Spring/Summer 2011 (collection, designed by Sofia Sizzi, inspired by the Italy of Federico Fellini’s « La Dolce Vita »), Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer 2001 Menswear (« Death in Venice / Mort à Venise », based on Luchino Visconti’s film), Moschino Spring/Summer 2006 (« Truly Italian » collection), Moschino Cheap and Chic Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (this collection was dedicated to 4 fashion capital cities, including Milan).
