Richard Prince’s « Nurse » paintings (« Dude Ranch Nurse » and « Man-Crazy Nurse ») inspired the nurses of the Louis Vuitton by Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2008 Show, a collection Richard Prince collaborated on (especially for the « Monogram Jokes » bags, inspired by his « Jokes » paintings, the « Cartoon Firebird » bags, and the invitation cards ; furthermore, the « SpongeBob » small case that Marc Jacobs was carrying for his salute was a reference to Richard Prince’s « SpongeBob » paintings, on the back of checks, and the vintage yellow Dodge car which appeared in that collection’s Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott-shot campaign, alongside Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Angela Lindvall, Claudia Schiffer, Stephanie Seymour and Natalia Vodianova, referenced a Richard Prince’s installation).
Some Richard Prince’s collaborations : Comme des Garçons (in 2003, Comme des Garçons launched some T-shirts printed with pictures of Richard Prince’s works, in collaboration with the Sadie Coles HQ gallery, in London), Fendi (in 2008, Richard Prince customized a « Baguette » bag), Marni by Consuelo Castiglioni Spring/Summer 2007 (some prints were commissioned from Richard Prince).
