Stella McCartney Red Nose Day 13The Beatles are among the icons that are honored in the Stella McCartney Red Nose Day T-shirt Collection (exclusive to T.k.maxx), that is available to celebrate Red Nose Day (on March 15, 2013), with a percentage of profits going to Comic Relief, that helps to change lives in the UK and across Africa (furthermore, Stella McCartney has often used The Beatles’ tracks in her shows).

Other The Beatles-inspired collections and items or shows with The Beatles on the soundtrack : Ben Sherman Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 (T-shirt with a « The Beatles » motif), Betsey Johnson Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 (the name of some looks, such as « Penny Lane » and « Ringo Starr », references The Beatles), Biba Spring/Summer 2007 (The Beatles on the soundtrack), Comme des Garçons by The Beatles (collection of handbags, in collaboration with Apple, launched in November 2009; the 2nd collaborative collection, launched on February 17, 2012, featured an apple-print backback and 2 tartan shirts), Converse (the brand has released « All*Star » sneakers which paid tribute to The Beatles), Holly Fulton Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (one of the inspirations of this show was Heinz Edelmann’s work on The Beatles’ animated « Yellow Submarine » film), John Varvatos (in 2010, John Varvatos unveiled a « Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band »-inspired ad campaign), Jonathan Saunders (in 2002, his Central Saint Martins graduate presentation highlighted printed chiffon caftans that were influenced by the cover of The Beatles’ « Yellow Submarine » album), Junya Watanabe Spring/Summer 2013 Menswear (The Beatles’ songs, such as « Black Bird » and « Here Comes the Sun », on the soundtrack), Moschino Cheap and Chic Spring/Summer 2010 (The Beatles on the sound system), Thom Browne Spring/Summer 2010 Menswear (The Beatles on the soundtrack), Tommy Hilfiger Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 Menswear (The Beatles’ « Sgt. Kate Moss is rocking that Beatles shirt. I was just looking at a Tee yesterday like the one she is wearing but got something else (a statement sweatshirt). Now I am going to have to go back and grab it because I am totally digging this look and of course I love the Beatles 🙂

Yes, true! I’m impressed by her fashion prowess and her ability to create her own name apart from her father’s.
