Les Lalanne

11 Feb

Hervé Léger by Max Azria AW1314The influence of nature on the works of Les Lalanne inspired the Hervé Léger by Max Azria Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 Show.

Other Les Lalanne-inspired collections : Giambattista Valli Couture Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (for this show, Luigi Scialanga created Les Lalanne-style metal belts), Sergio Rossi by Francesco Russo Spring/Summer 2011 (this collection of accessories, featured an armor-like brass bust, which was a tribute to the bust that Claude Lalanne had moulded on Veruschka’s breasts for the Yves Saint Laurent Couture Autumn/Winter 1969-1970 Collection ; the shoes captured the sculptural, protective and raw beauty that was expressed in the works of Claude Lalanne).

Some Les Lalanne’s collaborations : Chanel (François-Xavier Lalanne created a cast bronze doe, inspired by a piece that belonged to Coco Chanel, for the reopening of Chanel’s Hong Kong store, in December 2005), Yves Saint Laurent Couture Autumn/Winter 1969-1970 (this collection featured « sculpture dresses » created with Claude Lalanne).
