Roland Mouret AW1314Paris and the ultimate Parisian, Catherine Deneuve in Tony Scott’s « The Hunger », are celebrated in the Roland Mouret Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 Show.

Other Paris-inspired collections : Acne Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 Menswear (influenced by the style of the Sorbonne University’s students), Catherine Malandrino Spring/Summer 2013 (this collection spotlights Paris’ magic for the woman who lives in speedy New York), Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld Autumn/Winter 2006-2007 (« Paris sur scène » collection), Christian Lacroix Autumn/Winter 2005-2006 (in this collection, the Gypsy woman turned into a Parisian), Dior by Yves Saint Laurent Couture Autumn/Winter 1960-1961 (inspired in part by Saint-Germain-des-Prés’ beatniks), Dior by John Galliano Couture Spring/Summer 2000 (influenced by the Parisian homeless people), Erotokritos Spring/Summer 2008 (based on the Paris shot by Jean-Luc Godard in his film, « Two Or Three Things I Know About Her »), Garance Doré for Kate Spade Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 (mixing French and New York style, this line features Paris-influenced charm bracelets), Jean Paul Gaultier (the couturier has often paid tribute to Paris, especially in his Autumn/Winter 1982-1983 collection, « Paris Gaultier », in his Spring/Summer 1997 collection, « The Punk Parisian / La Parisienne punk », in his Couture Autumn/Winter 1998-1999 collection, « Parisian Elegance / Elégance parisienne », and in his Autumn/Winter 2000-2001 collection, « The Parisians / Les Parisiennes »), Lanvin Autumn/Winter 2003-2004 Menswear (based on ’60s Saint-Germain-des-Prés), Louis Vuitton by Marc Jacobs Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 (this collection celebrated Parisian muses such as Victoire de Castellane, Loulou de la Falaise and Marie Seznec), Moschino Cheap and Chic Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (Paris was one of the 4 fashion capitals that inspired this show), Paul Smith Autumn/Winter 2008-2009 (inspired by Saint-Germain-des-Prés’ existentialists), Sarah Burton Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 (the theme of this collection was « a summer in Paris »), Sonia Rykiel (the designer has always been inspired by Paris, especially by her beloved Saint-Germain-des-Prés), Thomas Crisp Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 (based on the underground culture of the street gangs in Paris, in the 18th century), Twenty8Twelve Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (partly influenced by the Parisian beatniks), Yves Saint Laurent Couture Autumn/Winter 1983-1984 (« Paris » collection), Yves Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2001 (this collection was about Paris and the embroideries), Yves Saint Laurent by Stefano Pilati Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 (that collection, from the Edition 24 line, celebrated both Paris and New York), Zandra Rhodes 1971 (« Paris, Frills and Button Flowers » collection).
