The androgyny of Annie Lennox, « Sweet Dreams » era, inspired some pinstriped suits in the Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer 2013 Show.
Some Annie Lennox-influenced collections or Annie Lennox’s collaborations : Costume National Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 (the « box » shape of the hairstyle of this show, created by Paul Hanlon, was an homage to Annie Lennox), Diane von Furstenberg (Annie Lennox was among the 12 female singers who featured in Diane von Furstenberg’s album, « Proud To Be A Woman », launched on March 8, 2010, to benefit Vital Voices), Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2011 Menswear (to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Dolce & Gabbana’s Menswear, Annie Lennox performed a selection of her best songs throughout this show), Miu Miu Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 (The Eurythmics’ « This City Never Sleeps » featured on the soundtrack of this show).
Furthermore, in April 2007, Gareth Pugh said that Annie Lennox was his « ultimate music muse », thanks to her then-androgynous style, and Annie Lennox was honored in the « House of Annie Lennox » exhibition, presented at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, from September 15, 2011 to February 26, 2012.

Indeed ! A few weeks ago, I saw a picture of Gwen Stefani wearing this outfit, on Jean Paul Gaultier’s official site, and she exuded the same kind of “yeah-I’m-a-rockstar” cool !!!

Haha now that is totally Annie Lenox that we all know and love! Great power suit. Now, I’ll have to google Gwen in this outfit, lol, — you are totally right, it is perfect for her too!
