Malick Sidibé’s portraits influenced the Michael van der Ham Spring/Summer 2013 Show.

Other Malick Sidibé-inspired collections : Cacharel by Clements Ribeiro Spring/Summer 2005 (this collection was based on Malick Sidibé’s photographs), Franck Sorbier Couture Spring/Summer 2005 (Malick Sidibé’s images influenced this show), Tata Naka Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 (Malick Sidibé’s work was one of the starting points of this collection, which was an homage to Motown), Thakoon Resort 2011 (this collection, about a Parisian who goes to Africa, was inspired by Malick Sidibé’s ’60s photographs of West African young people), Twenty8Twelve by Sienna and Savannah Miller Spring/Summer 2010 (the African youth, photographed by Malick Sidibé, was one of the references of this collection).

Moreover, Duro Olowu and Suno’s Max Osterweis have pinned Malick Sidibé’s photographs on some of their collections’ mood boards.
