The Sex Pistols’ logo is revisited by Moschino on the « In Love We Trust » T-shirt that the brand designed for Moda Operandi’s exclusive «Punk» Collection, launched on May 2, 2013, to celebrate the «PUNK : Chaos to Couture» exhibition, presented at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, in New York, from May 9 until August 14, 2013.
Some Sex Pistols-inspired collections : Alexander McQueen Autumn/Winter 2006-2007 (some looks echoed the Sex Pistols’ punk generation), Kinder Aggugini Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (Kinder Aggugini told « British Vogue » that the muse of this collection was a woman who dressed as the result of Sex Pistols’ Sid Vicious having married Coco Chanel).
Moreover, Vivienne Westwood, who launched the punk fashion in 1976 with the Sex Pistols’ manager, Malcolm McLaren, and designed clothes for the band, cowrote, in 1978, the lyrics of « Who Killed Bambi ? » for the Sex Pistols’ « The Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle » soundtrack album, and, in 1987, Undercover’s Jun Takahashi formed the tribute band Tokyo Sex Pistols.
