A trip to Venice influenced the Tsumori Chisato Resort 2014 Collection.

Other Venice-inspired collections : Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld Resort 2010 (titled « Coco on the Lido », this show, presented along the Venice Lido, was partly inspired by Luchino Visconti’s « Death in Venice »), Chanel by Peter Philips Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 (« Venice » makeup line), D&G by Dolce & Gabbana Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 (posters from Venice’s Teatro La Fenice were reproduced in this collection which paid homage to Maria Callas), Elie Saab Couture Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 (some pieces evoked Venice’s Teatro La Fenice), Jean-Louis Scherrer Couture Autumn/Winter 1984-1985 (collection titled « Ball in Venice / Bal à Venise »), Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer 2001 Menswear (this show, dubbed « Death in Venice / Mort à Venise », was based on Luchino Visconti’s eponymous movie), Prada Spring/Summer 2004 (some motifs, printed on bags, paid tribute to Venice), Vanessa Tugendhaft Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 (« Marquise » jewelry line, inspired by the Venice’s carnival masks).

So do I ! The other day, I read on Garance Doré’s blog that she was so excited about Resort collections, and I totally get her point : they make you travel just by looking at them ! Thank you for commenting on my blog, that’s really appreciated !
