Alexis Mabille Couture AW1314The Alexis Mabille Couture Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 Show was based on Giovanni Boldini’s brushstrokes.

Other Giovanni Boldini-inspired collections : David Koma Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 (Giovanni Boldini’s portrait of the Marchesa Casati was the starting point of this show), Dior by John Galliano Couture Autumn/Winter 2007-2008 (Giovanni Boldini-influenced prints).

      Yes, I loved the wonderful Atelier Versace show so much that I published the “Horst P. Horst” post about this collection yesterday ! You seem to enjoy beautiful Haute Couture as much as I do !

    Love this one also, though think it would look much more beautiful if the model had her hair flowing down over her shoulders, or even down her back.

      That’s the great thing about fashion shows : designers unveil their visions but we can style them the way we want, that’s all the fun !

      Merci ! Comme toi, je pense que cette robe est vraiment différente de ce que l’on voit habituellement, et j’adore le fait qu’on retrouve, près du cou, le “noeud” qui est vraiment la signature d’Alexis Mabille !
