Barbara Casasola SS13

The colors of the Barbara Casasola Spring/Summer 2013 Collection are based on Francis Bacon’s nudes.

Some Francis Bacon-inspired items or collections : Dior makeup by Tyen (Dior’s makeup creative director, Tyen, said, in the June-July 2010 issue of « Vogue Paris », that Francis Bacon’s way of giving movement to a still image in his paintings inspired him to « animate » his makeup colors), Dries Van Noten Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 (Francis Bacon’s confrontation of colors influenced this collection), Helen Robotham Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 (Helen Robotham designed this collection, inspired in part by Francis Bacon, when she was a student at London College of Fashion), Rag & Bone (in 2009, Rag & Bone’s Marcus Wainwright and David Neville treated ottoman like a painting canvas, for a calico-covered ottoman piece, after visiting the « Francis Bacon : A Centenary Retrospective » exhibition, presented at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York, from May 20 until August 16, 2009).

Moreover, Giambattista Valli also took inspiration from Francis Bacon for some of his designs.
