Mother of Pearl SS14Grapefruits are among the fruits which have influenced the patterns of the Mother of Pearl Spring/Summer 2014 Collection.

Other grapefruits-inspired items : Francesco Scognamiglio Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 (« grapefruit slices » motif on a shirt), Matthew Williamson (in the Spring of 2010, Matthew Williamson designed a pink kaftan, for Belvedere, which was based on the then-new pink grapefruit flavored vodka), Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2011 (grapefruits were among the citrus fruits that have inspired the « orange citrus botanical » print, which was used on several pieces of this show).

I am obsessed with a grapefruit soda and am eating half of one for breakfast this morning. Would be happy to have it on my summer clothing as a fresh 1950’s feel!
Does this mean that I am sour?

Not at all, it means that you’re great at detoxifying your delicious body ! I’ve just left a comment on your blog about Judith Leiber’s exquisite minaudieres, including the “pineapple” one (I love how it’s subtly referenced here, behind the grapefruit). Thank you for being so right about the ’50s feel ! XO

I love fruit inspired dresses. One of my all time favorites is Alice and Olivia’s lemon print shift dress 😉 This one is fantastic as well. XOXO

You’re welcome ! I love it too ! If you’re not familiar with Mother of Pearl, let me give you some juicy (LOL) gossip : the creative director, Maia Norman, used to be Damien Hirst’s partner ! Thank you for your nice comment !
