Alighiero Boetti

27 Dec

Jil Sander SS14

Alighiero Boetti’s abstract works have influenced the prints of the Jil Sander Spring/Summer 2014 Show.

Another Alighiero Boetti-inspired collection : Giambattista Valli Spring/Summer 2014 (Alighiero Boetti was one of the artists from the Arte Povera movement that were referenced in this show).

I have to check out the Giambattista Valli SS 2014 — I always love his dresses (and his shoes).

Adore the work of Alighiero Boetti and how “defined” {shapes} are almost always there…
buried within his “undefined” {abstract} pieces of art…
enjoy the visual searches within the simplicity of his designs…
    another fabulous {inspired} AB print~

Thank you for this fantastic comment ! Alighiero Boetti’s artworks have made quite an impression on me when I was working in the library of an art school !

this is a very unexpected look for Jill Sander, would you agree? Usually the designs are so minimalistic and geometric so we love the use of colors here and the pattern and the different cut!
    fabulous clutch as well!!

I totally agree with you, my fellow blogger friends ! I was really surprised by the few printed pieces of this collection ! I haven’t published many Jil Sander’s looks because, apart from the Picasso-inspired motifs of the Jil Sander by Raf Simons S/S 12 show, the silhouettes are a little bit too minimal for my own taste ! But this one is fabulous !! Have a fabulous weekend ! XOXO
