Look at that underskirt and those shoes. Wow!
Would you consider Dries van Noten’s FALL 2008 RTW to have a nod towards Indonesia? Hmm…maybe just eclectic ethnic.

It sure was eclectic ethnic (with such lovely floral patterns !). Maybe that it was based on Indonesia, because Dries Van Noten has often drawn inspiration from his Asian travels ! XO

What’s funny is that I just visited Rony and Vera’s blog…and their fabulous NYE outfit idea made me want to take a flight somewhere tropical for NYE. Now, seeing this stunning, mermaid-like dress really makes me wish I was partying on a lush tropical island! XOXO

this is quite the design, I have to say very interesting the lines and the colors all put together is well not my cup of tea, but can see the fascinating image on the runway.. Actually would someone were this Mayann? I often wonder when I see something so far out if someone would wear it…but I sure respect the designers amazing idea..

I know what you mean, dear Sherri ! This is the kind of stunning creations that only belong to the runway ! Most of the time, this kind of avant-garde design is revisited in a more commercial way to be adapted to everyday life ! I can spot the differences when I see a “Runway / Red carpet” feature in magazines such as “InStyle” ! Mayann
