Other Serge Gainsbourg-influenced collections or items : Balmain by Olivier Rousteing Spring/Summer 2014 Menswear (the theme of this collection is « Serge Gainsbourg meets boy dancer »), Emily Daccarett Spring/Summer 2014 (this show was based on the relationship between Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin), Lee Cooper (in the Autumn of 2004, the brand reissued Serge Gainsbourg’s favorite Lee Cooper jeans, and gifted, for each purchase, a CD which featured 2 remixed Serge Gainsbourg’s songs), Rachel Zoe Spring/Summer 2012 (this collection paid homage to Brigitte Bardot when she was going out with Serge Gainsbourg), Veronique Branquinho Autumn/Winter 2006-2007 Menswear (this collection was influenced by iconic partners in crime such as Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin), Yohji Yamamoto Spring/Summer 2005 Menswear (in this show, Yohji Yamamoto paid tribute to Serge Gainsbourg as « an icon of a good-looking French male »).
Furthermore, in the ’70s, Serge Gainsbourg, who had started to wear Repetto’s « Zizi » jazz-inspired shoes, became an ambassador for the brand.
Moreover, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac wrote the « Serge et Jane » song for Mareva Galanter, as a tribute to Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin, which was recorded, featuring Rufus Wainwright, for the French Polynesian’s 2nd album, « Happy Fiu », released in 2008.
