Tory Burch SS14

Romy Schneider in Jacques Deray’s « La Piscine / The Swimming Pool » was the starting point of the Tory Burch Spring/Summer 2014 Show.

Other « La Piscine »-inspired collections : Rena Lange Spring/Summer 2010 (this collection was influenced by Romy Schneider in « La Piscine »), Salvatore Ferragamo by Massimiliano Giornetti Spring/Summer 2011 (the starting point of this show was the free-spirited attitude as seen in « La Piscine »), Sophie Theallet Spring/Summer 2012 (this show paid homage to Romy Schneider in « La Piscine »).

Oh they just don’t make beauties like Romy Schneider any more! I love the embroidered flowers. Different for Tory Burch.

Thank you for paying tribute to Romy Schneider’s beauty ! I’ve chosen this particular picture because Janice Alida looks quite mysterious with her dark hair, and the floral embroideries are marvelous indeed !

I like this, however, I’m not fond of the little blue belt around the waist. …But that’s just me.

I see what you mean ! I like the way it echoes the blue trim below the neck though, but that’s just me !

Clean and polished with gorgeous detail is how I would describe this fabulous two-piece. I love crop pants with a slight flare.
I’m ready to bust out my Spring wardrobe! xoxo

This is such a sweet + innocent 60’s look and the floral design is so perfectly positioned…
hard to imagine Tory Burch, whose clientele is thought to be more like the girl-next-door…
being inspired by the dark + racy movie La Piscine!! 😉

That’s the power of great fashion brands : they subtly turn you into a darker and racier version of yourself !!!

Trust Tory Burch to make this look more Palm Beach than Cote d’Azur! She’s spot-on with with 60s feel, though, and the outfit is so adorable who can fault her for it?
