wow!! another amazing piece of art! what’s stunning about this one is that the shadows the clothes cast on the body are as beautiful as the pieces themselves!!
Thanks !! Iris van Herpen’s designs are so elaborate ! I read about this inspiration, yesterday, in French “Numéro”, then I switched on my television and came across a documentary dedicated to 2 new couture designers, including Iris van Herpen : I already knew and appreciated her amazing creations, but I also fell in love with her perfectionism and her sensibility : this woman is a true artist ! XOXO
Le travail d’Iris van Herpen est tout simplement très original ! Merci de te soucier de ce qui m’arrive : je suis toujours en stand-by et je profite de ce moment pour me reposer et faire le point ! <3<3<3
Wouldn’t this look amazing combined with another dress underneath so you have the structure of the art and the fluidity of the material..but are we allowed to alter the works of artists??? I just don’t know! xxx
Tough question ! But, as this is not couture (exceptionally, Iris van Herpen didn’t present a Couture collection, last week) but RTW, we should be allowed to adapt her stunning pieces of art, and make them more “wearable” ! xxxxx
I’ll just say it: If art is not to be understood, but appreciated, then I appreciate this art. But for day-wear, I’m sorry, it is driving me crazy that her thong-line is leaning lower on the left. I guess I will have to go commando when wearing, which, now that I think about it, will go well with the shoes…
Thank you for this insightful comment ! Yes, the angle of the image is pretty strange, but it adds a little motion to the whole look, I think ! And I absolutely love the “commando” shoes !!!
Not terribly familiar with this artist but stand in amazement while gazing at this {art} piece…
the black woven leather looks and feels like African tribal tattoo art…
it’s so very intriguing and ruggedly beautiful~

Very cool, but I think nude colored bottoms would be better than the black triangle. Details, I know, but it keeps distracting me.

I love it when you can see black underwear underneath transparent clothes. I know it’s supposed to be a “fashion don’t” but I can’t help it !!! XO
