Nonoo AW1415

Louis Kahn’s Kimbell Art Museum, in Fort Worth, Texas, was the starting point of the Nonoo Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 Show.

Other Louis Kahn-inspired items and campaign : Anndra Neen (in 2011, Annette and Phoebe Stephens told that Louis Kahn was one of the influences for the designs of their jewelry line), Oscar de la Renta Autumn/Winter 2008-2009 (the setting of the ad campaign for this collection featured Louis Kahn’s Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, California).

Beautiful print and wearable in the “real” world. I want to visit the Kimbell. Fort Worth is only a 5 hour drive from Houston, no tolls and cheap US petrol prices.

Thank you ! The pieces in the New York fashion shows are more wearable, I guess. If you visit the Kimbell, it will be nice to see your pictures on your sensational blog, now than I know, thanks to my research for this post, what it really looks like !

Love the blue-grey on the top…and I’ll take the hair… I needed a new do! Thanks Mayann. It sure seems like the arts influence each other — when authors, painters, music inspire design, one might think we would catch them in simple duplication but no, the individual interpretations twists things, just so, and viola!

That’s why I can’t get enough discovering new inspirations ! If, via my humble blog, I can also inspire your new hairstyle, that’s the cherry on the cake, merci !

A lovely dress. The print almost has an Art Deco feel — I have really enjoyed some of the pieces coming from Nonoo.
