Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s movies, especially « The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant », have inspired the Prada Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 Show.

My God, what a statement! I love the scarf matching the coat, sleek hair, black pants and boots. A gorgeous and clean line.

Oh, thank you, dear Diana ! I can’t believe it’s so cold where you are ! Next winter, thanks to the super-talented Miuccia Prada, maybe that you’ll be lucky enough to sport this furry and avant-garde masterpiece ! ❤

I must investigate. I don’t know this…director? Trust Mayann and Miuccia to enlighten me 🙂
February 28, 2014 at 3:49 pm
So glad to enlighten you (especially with bitter tears …) ! I think I’ve only seen one film directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder (“Querelle”, with the late Brad Davis, which I loved a lot and which has inspired, among others, Jean Paul Gaultier !).

Thanks for making me want to touch it too (so far, I just wanted to brush it LOL) !
Alas, I’m not on Twitter (well, it’s a personal choice …). Ahhhh, you’re teasing me !!! XOXO
February 28, 2014 at 3:35 pm
well you probably saw this way before we did, but we were amazed by this collection: http://www.style.com/fashionshows/complete/2014RST-CDIOR
Vogue France was tweeting about it, that’s why we asked 🙂
February 28, 2014 at 3:43 pm
Oh, you’re so kind ! I made a post about this exquisite show (because the Stephen Jones-styled silk scarves were referencing Grace Kelly in Alfred Hitchcock’s « To Catch a Thief » !!!) but I forgot how wonderful it was, because, believe it or not, I’m checking right now Dior’s AW1415 show (but, so far, there’s only one look on Style.com). Ah, you know me so well (+ “Vogue France” is my favorite fashion magazine ever !), thank you so much for this amazing connection !!! XOXO
February 28, 2014 at 5:27 pm
