Louis Vuitton X André SS14

The « Monogram » shawl that André Saraiva has revisited for Louis Vuitton, as part of the « Foulards d’artistes / artist scarves » Spring/Summer 2014 Collection, is inspired by the drop cloth and the splatters of paint in his studio.

A few André Saraiva’s collaborations : Faith Connexion (André Saraiva shot the lookbook of Annabelle Dexter-Jones’ Spring/Summer 2012 collection for Faith Connexion), Galeries Lafayette (André Saraiva, shot by Jean-Paul Goude, stars in the Galeries Lafayette « L’Homme » Spring/Summer 2014 campaign), André Saraiva X Maison Kitsuné (André Saraiva designed a capsule collection, to celebrate the « Dream Concerts Art Show », dedicated to his artworks of his dream concerts, at Tokyo’s Maison Kitsuné, from September 4 until October 3rd, 2013), Levi’s® X Mr André (André Saraiva created a capsule collection for Levi’s®, which was launched on June 14, 2012), Louis Vuitton (to celebrate the reopening of the Villa Louis Vuitton in Saint-Tropez, on June 18, 2010, André Saraiva illustrated 30 portfolios and 10 drawings which were exhibited, then sold from June 25, 2010), Saint James® (André Saraiva revisited Saint James’® « Naval II » nautical top, available at Colette from July 14, 2011, which he originally created to dress the team of New York’s Le Bain club).

A huge thank you for such a passionate comment ! I love how her pretty-gothic look is totally counterbalanced by André’s explosively colorful painting ! XOXO

THX ! With such a wonderfully graphic shawl, you could make fabulous “layered” silhouettes ! XXX

Lol…why are other people’s drop cloths always so much more interesting than your own?
Currently repainting office and as I size-up my paint splatters I find them to be rather dull…
    even after adding a big X and O à la ‘Monsieur A’ style…
they still lack the gloriousness of above!! ~xo

I was just looking at someone’s paint splattered sweatshirt from 1993 this morning — it made me smile as does this scarf. XO

I think it is because we have finally seen the sun (and the snow melted, though there were flurries on Monday morning…) Have you ever seen the Australian film “Strictly Ballroom”? I have ‘Love Is In The Air’ by John Paul Young, stuck in my head. Pathetic. XO

Hi MAYANN, I think the shawl and the present of the shawl and wallpaper is great..the black is also nice..but I would \n’t wear it together..but the designers have there reasons for featuring that way..all is great though..I always find the designs no matter what..interesting.
have a great weekend Mayann Sweet Friend
