Iceberg SS14

The Iceberg by Alexis Martial Spring/Summer 2014 Show was inspired by a vision of a girl scout in a fantasized Harajuku.

Other Harajuku-influenced collections : Agyness Deyn for Dr Martens Spring/Summer 2013 (the starting point of this collection, launched on February 22, 2013, was the eclectic and unique style of Tokyo’s Harajuku girls), Gwen Stefani (in June 2005, Gwen Stefani launched the Harajuku Lovers line, which echoed the style of Harajuku girls), Yohji Yamamoto Spring/Summer 2014 (this show was partly based on Harajuku girls).

I love the sweatshirt and the shoes, very crisp and clean! I wish the skirt went the full way around, but then I am not a designer. XO

Your comment shows that, sometimes, what we see on the runway must be adapted to suit the customer ! XO

First introduced to Harajuku style by the Lolita style of girl I photographed on street in Toronto…
and could totally see a “Scout Lolita” look now spinning off from this Iceberg collection…
but then Alexis Martial did say “It’s a Boy Scout on a dreamed visit to Tokyo.”…
so it will be interesting to see if this Scout dream {style} comes true!! ~xo

It’s strange because Alexis Martial talked about a “boy scout” on but about a “girl scout” in French “Jalouse” ! XO

Lol…I know, strange eh {lol…using a little Canadiana lingo here}…
so that’s why I went with the term “Scout” dream style…
thought it would cover both sides of the {style} coin!! 🙂
Always enjoy your posts and our style chit chats! ~xo
