The « Erwin Blumenfeld (1897-1969) : Photographs, drawings and photomontages » exhibition at Paris’ Jeu de Paume, from October 15, 2013 until January 26, 2014, has influenced the collagelike patterns of the Carven by Guillaume Henry Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 Show.
Other Erwin Blumenfeld-inspired collections : Amanda Wakeley Spring/Summer 2009 (this collection was based on the photographs of Erwin Blumenfeld and Nobuyoshi Araki), Jonathan Saunders Spring/Summer 2011 (this show paid tribute to the « gorgeous picture-postcard beauty » of the women in Erwin Blumenfeld’s ’40s and ’50s fashion photography).
