The collection that Coralie Marabelle will present at the 29th Hyères International Festival of Fashion and Photography, from April 25 to April 28, 2014, is based on the clothes worn by the shepherds in ’50s North Iran.

To read about other Iran-inspired collections, search for the « Persia » post that I have published on December 16, 2013.

THX ! You’ve noticed the “googlie” eyes, while I’ve been attracted to the almost-egg-shaped hat, and, of course, the extraordinary volumes of this outfit ! XO

This style is a bit too theatrical for me.

For sure, it’s not very “wearable” but how creatively powerful this silhouette is !

Usually, it’s the most creative collections that are rewarded at the Hyères Festival, so maybe that we already have a winner !

Thank you ! It’s really interesting indeed to take inspiration from traditional clothes, especially if, like Coralie Marabelle, you turn them into groundbreakingly modern pieces !

Thanks so much ! That’s the best thing about this avant-garde silhouette : imagining all the possible associations (and, for sure, you’re great at boldly combining eclectic pieces) ! XXX
