JCDC Resort 15

The Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Resort 2015 Collection is a tribute to the lifestyle on the French Riviera.

Other French Riviera-influenced collections : Badgley Mischka Spring/Summer 2014 (this show was based on Jacques Henri Lartigue’s ’20s pictures of women relaxing on the French Riviera), Bibhu Mohapatra Resort 2012 (this collection drew inspiration from vintage postcards from the French Riviera in the ’50s), Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld Resort 2011 (this show was an homage to Saint-Tropez), Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld Resort 2012 (presented in Antibes, this collection highlighted the differences between 2 cities from the French Riviera, Saint-Tropez and Antibes), D&G by Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2009 and D&G by Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2009 Menswear (these shows were influenced by the French Riviera), Jill Stuart Resort 2012 (the theme of this collection was « Lolita on the French Riviera »), L’Wren Scott Spring/Summer 2012 (titled « Beau Monde », this show was influenced by the beautiful people on the French Riviera in the Glamour Era), Missoni Resort 2014 (this collection was a tribute to French actresses exposing themselves to the sun in the Côte d’Azur), Peter Som Spring/Summer 2003 (this show took its cues from Jacques Henri Lartigue’s photographs of the French Riviera in the interwar period).

Hehe, thank you ! There are so many different beach umbrellas on this elegant outfit that I suspect JC/DC was inspired by your wonderful “espadrilles” competition and decided to do his own virtual “beach umbrellas” competition … on one single outfit ! xxxxx

C’est vrai, merci beaucoup ! On oublie parfois à quel point la Côte d’Azur est une si belle région, et la superbe collection de JC/DC (ah, ces parasols colorés !) nous le rappelle d’une bien belle façon ! XD

Goodness, I love jumpsuits and…..they never fit. Sigh. Time to get my own personal tailor.
