Givenchy Couture AW89

The Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci Couture Autumn/Winter 2008-2009 Show paid homage to the Andes.

Other Andes-inspired collections : Opening Ceremony by Humberto Leon and Carol Lim Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 (this collection featured a pattern which was based on an aerial picture of the Andes), Osklen Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 (the snowy peaks of the Andes, where Osklen’s Oskar Metsavaht has traveled extensively, influenced this presentation), Trussardi by Umit Benan Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 (this show referenced the Peruvian Andes).

I am not a big fan of white formal dresses (except for Weddings), the detailing on this dress would be beautiful in another color. XO

But, then, perhaps you would lose the Andes-inspiration…

THX ! This stunning gown would be perfect indeed for a wedding, especially, because of its wonderful fringes, in Arizona ! ❤

Merci ! ❤
