The French formal garden of the Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld Spring/Summer 2011 Show was inspired by the black-and-white elegance of Alain Resnais’s « Last Year at Marienbad / L’Année dernière à Marienbad ».

This was one of my favourite Chanel collections from the past few years, it was so simple and elegant. This look was amongst the highlights- and I’m not just saying that because it was worn by the fabulous Inès de La Fressange! Great pick!

Thanks so much ! Selecting this beyond-elegant look was also, to me, a way of celebrating a truly emblematic model (like Alber Elbaz did at Lanvin’s glorious S/S 2015 show) !

Thank you ! These necklaces are so magnificent that they’ve brought a wonderful smile on the French icon Ines de La Fressange ! XXX
