The motif « Les Pigeons de Notre-Dame / The Pigeons of Notre-Dame » of the final look of the Schiaparelli by Marco Zanini Couture Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 Collection references the gathering of pigeons in front of Paris’ Catholic cathedral, Notre-Dame de Paris.

Thank you ! Although quite minimal, these sharp shoes give Schiaparelli’s 1937 “shoe-hat” a run for its money !

You’re so nice, merci beaucoup ! It’s such a shame that Marco Zanini has already left Schiaparelli !

Twice, while walking past Notre-Dame de Paris — I saw a well-fed kitty pounce on lunch. Yep, a pigeon….

People can’t help feeding pigeons, so these little sneaky creatures know where to go to have a feast (yummy, fresh baguette !). XO

You’re so right, thank you ! A stupendously gorgeous gown, a shockingly pink backdrop (so Schiaparelli !), a glamorous leopard-print catwalk … truly amazing indeed !
