The « Pierrot » bride of the Jean Paul Gaultier Couture Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 Show paid homage to David Bowie’s « Pierrot » outfit on his « Ashes to Ashes » album cover.

Other Pierrot-inspired collections or items : Elsa Schiaparelli by Christian Lacroix Couture Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 (the « Pierrot » hats of this presentation paid tribute to Schiaparelli’s 1939 « Commedia dell’arte » collection), Gareth Pugh (in 2009, Cate Blanchett pantomimed on the Sydney Theatre’s stage in Gareth Pugh’s « Pierrot » suit, for a portrait in « Vanity Fair »), Tatty Devine Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 (« Pierrot » resin brooch, based on the Theatre Fair), Viktor & Rolf Spring/Summer 2008 (this Commedia dell’arte-influenced collection featured « Pierrot » collars).

Furthermore, for the September 2008 issue of « Harper’s Bazaar », Valentino’s then-creative director, Alessandra Facchinetti, dressed as Pierrot, for a Peter Lindbergh-shot editorial.
