The starting point of the androgyny which was highlighted in the Erdem Spring/Summer 2014 Show was taken from Blur’s « Girls & Boys » lyrics.
Furthermore, Blur’s « Girls & Boys » was one of the Brit Pop tracks that featured on the soundtrack of the Moschino Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 Show, which paid homage to Great Britain.

The dichotomy which was expressed in Ingmar Bergman’s « Persona » (« something soft mixed with something quite dark », according to Erdem Moralioglu) was the starting point of the Erdem Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 Show.
Other « Persona »-inspired collections : Apiece Apart Spring/Summer 2010 (the short film which was shot to accompany this collection was partly based on the exchanging of identities in « Persona »), Dsquared² Spring/Summer 2013 (the video campaign of this collection, shot by Mert & Marcus, was an homage to such films as « Persona »), Mandy Coon (in 2011, « Persona » was the 1st film of the « Fashion in Film – Designer Inspiration » movie night series, organized by Mandy Coon), SportMax Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (not specifically inspired by « Persona » but by the cold Northern Europe which was portrayed in Ingmar Bergman’s films).
