The dolls that designers (such as lingerie designer Chantal Thomass, whose « Eiffel Tower » doll is pictured above) and artists have created for the 11th edition of the UNICEF’s « Frimousses de Créateurs » project, titled « Le Pari(s) Merveilleux », pay homage to Paris, the City of Light (these dolls will be showcased at Paris’ Petit Palais, from November 26 until December 1, 2013, in a preview for a benefit auction, to be held on December 2, 2013, at the Four Seasons Hotel George V, to raise funds for vaccinating the children of Darfur).
Another City of Light-influenced collection : Hermès Spring/Summer 2006 (this collection, dubbed « L’Air de Paris », featured the « Structure » jewelry line, which was based on the Eiffel Tower’s construction).
To read about other City of Light-inspired collections, search for the « Paris » post that I have published on March 1, 2013.
