City of Love

Andrés Sardá SS15

Paris, the City of Love, influenced the 19th look of the Andrés Sardá Spring/Summer 2015 Show, titled « First Class », which was inspired by an image of an airplane « taking off for beauty ».

To read about other Paris-influenced collections, search for the « Paris » and « Paname » posts that I have published on March 1, 2013, and on July 25, 2014, respectively.

Other Versailles-inspired collections : Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld Resort 2013 (Karl Lagerfeld said that the theme of this collection, presented at Versailles, was « Versailles in a Socialist France »), LaQuan Smith Spring/Summer 2011 (this collection was influenced by Marie Antoinette and Versailles), Maxime Simoëns Couture Spring/Summer 2011 (this show, titled « This, Madame, is Versailles », was inspired by Sofia Coppola’s « Marie Antoinette »), Thakoon Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (this collection was based on the similarities between the costumes worn at Versailles and the Masai outfits).

To read about other Le Corbusier-influenced collections, search for the « Le Corbusier » post that I have published on June 22, 2014.
