Kanye West

Little Eleven Paris SS14One T-shirt of the Little Eleven Paris Spring/Summer 2014 Collection pays tribute to Kanye West.

Some Kanye West’s collaborations : adidas® (in December 2013, adidas® confirmed a shoe collaboration deal with Kanye West), A.P.C. KANYE (Kanye West designed this menswear capsule collection, which was launched on July 14, 2013, in association with A.P.C.’s Jean Touitou), Dion Lee Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 (Kanye West created black pointed-toe heels for this collection), Eleven Paris Spring/Summer 2011 (« Kanye West with his finger above his lips to simulate a mustache » print on a T-shirt), Giuseppe Zanotti (the Italian shoe designer created a few sandals for Kanye West’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection), Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci (the artwork that Riccardo Tisci created for Jay-Z and Kanye West’s 2011 « Watch the Throne » album and « H.A.M. » single echoed the patterns of the Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 collection), Kanye West X George Condo X M/M Paris (M/M Paris imagined 5 scarves, launched in May 2011, which were based on the paintings that George Condo made for Kanye West’s 2010 « My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy » album), Ksubi (in October 2008, Ksubi launched an eyewear range, designed by Ksubi’s George Gorrow, in association with Kanye West’s Pastelle fashion brand), Louis Vuitton X Kanye West (Kanye West created several sneakers for Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection), Maison Martin Margiela (Maison Martin Margiela designed the wardrobe for Kanye West’s 2013-2014 « Yeezus » tour), Nike (Kanye West imagined the « Air Yeezy » sneakers, in 2009, and the « Air Yeezy 2 » sneakers, in 2012, for Nike).

Moreover, in the Spring of 2006, Kanye West launched his own Pastelle Clothing line (which was canceled in 2009), then presented 2 fashion shows, under his own name, for Spring/Summer 2012 and Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 (Kanye West has now terminated this brand).

Tom Ford AW1415

The sequined minidresses of the Tom Ford Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 Show make reference to the unauthorized T-shirt (based on Jay-Z’s lyrics, « I don’t pop molly, I rock Tom Ford ») that Jay-Z wore to perform his « Tom Ford » song.
