The Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld Métiers d’Art 2014-2015 Show, titled « Paris-Salzburg », presented at Schloss Leopoldskron Palace, on December 2, 2014, made reference to Chanel’s Little Black Jacket, which was inspired by a Tyrolean uniform, worn by a lift attendant that Coco Chanel met at the Schloss Mittersill hotel, in Salzburg, in the ’50s.
Another Salzburg-inspired collection : Karen Walker Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 (influenced by « The Sound of Music » and by Bob Dylan, this show was dubbed « Salzburg, USA »).

Coconut milk cartons have inspired a bag in the supermarket-themed Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 Collection (the inscription, « lait de COCO », French for « coconut milk », is a pun on Gabrielle « Coco » Chanel’s nickname).

The Sam McKnight-styled graphic bobs of the Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld Spring/Summer 2014 Show were based on boyish pictures of Linda Evangelista in the ’80s, and on Japanese bob haircuts, and also referenced The Beatles’ hairstyles, in the ’60s.
Other Linda Evangelista-inspired item and makeup : House of Holland Autumn/Winter 2007-2008 (the 12th look of this show, which started with a slideshow of photographs of supermodels, including Linda Evangelista, was a minidress with a slogan which referenced Linda Evangelista), Rag & Bone Spring/Summer 2011 (for the makeup of this show, Gucci Westman took inspiration from the early « raw, sexy and beautiful » pictures of Linda Evangelista by Peter Lindbergh).
