True Romance

The jersey pieces of the House of Holland Pre-Fall 2014 Collection, made in collaboration with Hattie Stewart, are based on the theatrical release poster of Tony Scott’s « True Romance ».

Other « True Romance »-inspired collection, makeup or video : Agent Provocateur Spring/Summer 2013 (this collection, designed by Sarah Shotton, expressed the concept of driving across the United States of America in a Cadillac, like Patricia Arquette in « True Romance »), Missoni Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (the makeup of this show, by Lucia Pieroni, which used a saturated burgundy M.A.C lipstick, paid homage to various films, including « True Romance » ; the video campaign for this collection, directed by Mel Bles, featured « True Romance »-style models).

Furthermore, in December 2011, Cara Delevingne told « British Vogue » that her favorite film was « True Romance » (« It’s an awesome film. »)

Paris

Paris and the ultimate Parisian, Catherine Deneuve in Tony Scott’s « The Hunger », are celebrated in the Roland Mouret Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 Show.

Other « The Hunger »-inspired collections : Emilio Pucci by Peter Dundas Pre-Fall 2012 (the moodboard of this collection featured images of David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve in « The Hunger » ; furthermore, « The Hunger » is Peter Dundas’ favorite film), Kai Kühne Autumn/Winter 2008-2009 (this collection referenced Catherine Deneuve in « The Hunger »), Loewe by Stuart Vevers Autumn/Winter 2008-2009 (Miriam Blaylock, Catherine Deneuve’s character in Tony Scott’s « The Hunger », was one of the influences of this collection).
