Richard Avedon’s work inspired the Gucci by Frida Giannini Spring/Summer 2013 Collection.

A few other Richard Avedon-influenced collections : Alberto Marani (Richard Avedon’s photographs were among the images that featured in Alberto Marani’s moodboard, which was published on the « Vogue Paris » site, in March 2011), Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2005 (this collection was partly influenced by the beauty in Richard Avedon’s images), Jason Wu (Jason Wu has been inspired by Richard Avedon’s work), Louise Goldin Spring/Summer 2010 (the starting point of this collection was Richard Avedon’s collaboration for the ’90s Versace’s campaigns), Novis Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 (this collection was based on the photographs that Richard Avedon took in Paris, in the ’50s and the ’60s), Prabal Gurung Spring/Summer 2011 (this collection partly referenced the Richard Avedon-shot portraits of Penelope Tree), Preen Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 (this collection was inspired by Richard Avedon’s portraits of Dorian Leigh), Proenza Schouler (Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough sometimes drew inspiration from Richard Avedon’s images), SportMax Pre-Fall 2011 (this collection evoked the glamorous women that have been photographed by Richard Avedon), St. John Resort 2013 (one long black dress, designed by George Sharp, echoed Richard Avedon’s famous photograph of Dovima).
