Other Björk-inspired collections and some Björk’s collaborations : Alexander McQueen (the late designer made the front cover direction of Björk’s 1997 « Homogenic » album, directed the second video for her 1998 « Alarm Call » single, teamed up with Björk for her performance of « Bachelorette » at the 2003 Fashion Rocks, at London’s Royal Albert Hall ; moreover, Björk sang at Alexander McQueen’s memorial at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral, on September 20, 2010), Jean Paul Gaultier Autumn/Winter 1994-1995 (Björk was one of the models of this show, titled, « The Long Journey / Le Grand voyage », which paid tribute to the Inuit civilization), Johan Ku Spring/Summer 2014 (the dichotomy between fantasy and reality, experienced by Selma, as played by Björk, in Lars von Trier’s « Dancer in the Dark », inspired the 3-D plastic dresses of this show), Oscar de la Renta Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (the raw Mongolia-influenced makeup of this show, by Gucci Westman for Revlon, referenced Björk when she took to the catwalk for Jean Paul Gaultier’s Autumn/Winter 1994-1995 collection), Sophia Kokosalaki (the Greek designer created Björk’s flowing dress for the opening ceremony of Athens’ 2004 Summer Olympic Games).

Aaron de Mey’s blue makeup for the Kenzo by Humberto Leon and Carol Lim Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 Collection paid homage to David Lynch’s « Blue Velvet » (David Lynch created the set of this show and mixed its soundtrack music).
Other « Blue Velvet »-inspired campaigns and collection : Fenton Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 (the ad campaign for this collection, shot by Hugh Lippe, was based on « Blue Velvet »’s dark atmosphere), H&M (Johan Renck’s campaign video for the H&M Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 Collection, featured Lana Del Rey, who covered Bernie Wayne and Lee Morris’ « Blue Velvet » song), Lulu & Co Spring/Summer 2014 (to describe this collection, Lulu Kennedy told Style.com : « I am probably David Lynch’s biggest fan, and « Mysteries of Love » on the « Blue Velvet » soundtrack really got me thinking about love »).

Other macaroons–inspired items : Boucheron Spring/Summer 2009 (« Tentation Macaron » jewelry line), Eple & Melk Spring/Summer 2009 (this collection included pieces named after sweet delights, such as the « Macaron » T-shirt dress), Kenzo by Antonio Marras (in the Spring of 2011, the « Macaron » clutches were launched), Nike (in the Spring of 2010, Nike produced the « Nike Air Royalty Macaron » sneakers), Vilebrequin Autumn/Winter 2006-2007 (« macaroons » patterns on men and children’s boxer shorts).

Serge Poliakoff’s retrospective at the City of Paris’ Museum of Modern Art, « Le Rêve des formes / The Dream of Forms », from October 18, 2013 until February 23, 2014, has influenced the Paul & Joe Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 Show.
Other Serge Poliakoff-inspired collections : Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 (according to Hamish Bowles, from « Vogue », the fur patchworks in this show evoked Serge Poliakoff’s work), Guy Laroche by Marcel Marongiu Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 (the color palette of this show was based on the « Serge Poliakoff : Le Rêve des formes / The Dream of Forms » exhibition at the City of Paris’ Museum of Modern Art), Jil Sander by Raf Simons Pre-Fall 2011 (this collection featured a brushstroke pattern which took inspiration from Serge Poliakoff’s abstract paintings).
