Jean-Paul Goude

Cushnie et Ochs Resort 15

The junglelike feel of the Cushnie et Ochs Resort 2015 Collection is based on Jean-Paul Goude’s photograph of Naomi Campbell, running alongside a cheetah, taken from the editorial « Wild Things », published in the September 2009 issue of « Harper’s Bazaar ».

Other Jean-Paul Goude-inspired collections : Dior by Bill Gaytten Couture Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (Jean-Paul Goude’s images were referenced in this show), James Millar Autumn/Winter 2008-2009 (Jean-Paul Goude’s chaotic photographic oeuvre was one of the influences of this collection), Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer 2013 (some models in the background of this show took poses which imitated Grace Jones on her 1985 « Island Life » album cover, shot by Jean-Paul Goude), Rick Owens Spring/Summer 2004 (this show paid homage to Jean-Paul Goude and René Gruau), Roland Mouret Spring/Summer 2004 (the work that Jean-Paul Goude did with Grace Jones in the ’80s, mixed with the powerful sensuality of Peter Lindbergh’s photographs, have influenced this show).
