This jet-embroidered silk velvet and satin « Less than Zero / Moins que zéro » skeleton corset, was worn by Dita Von Teese in the Jean Paul Gaultier Couture Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 Show, titled « The Parisians / Les Parisiennes », which was a tribute to Paname (Paris’ nickname).
Other Paname–inspired collections : Bally by Graeme Fidler and Michael Herz Spring/Summer 2011 (« The Parisian / La Parisienne » collection), Celine Spring/Summer 2003 (« Macadam » seasonal line), Celine Spring/Summer 2004 (« Macadam Sorbonne » seasonal line), Celine by Ivana Omazic Autumn/Winter 2007-2008 (this show was more specifically based on Françoise Sagan’s 1977 novel, « The Unmade Bed / Le Lit défait »), Devernois by Franck Sorbier Autumn/Winter 2007-2008 (this collection paid homage to Juliette Gréco’s Saint-Germain-des-Prés), Emanuel Ungaro by Giles Deacon Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (the theme of this show was « Paris and its constant history of pleasure), Girls From Omsk Autumn/Winter 2010-2011, Jean Paul Gaultier Autumn/Winter 1982-1983 (this show, titled « Paris Gaultier », was a tribute to existentialism in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, which referenced Juliette Gréco and Boris Vian), Jean Paul Gaultier Autumn/Winter 1984-1985 (« Barbès »), Jean Paul Gaultier Autumn/Winter 1998-1999 (dubbed « The Existentialists / Les Existentialistes », this collection honored the Saint-Germain-des-Prés muses, from Juliette Gréco to Annabel Buffet), Jean Paul Gaultier Couture Autumn/Winter 2000-2001 (titled « Paris and its muses / Paris et ses égéries », this show paid homage to iconic Parisians such as Arletty, Barbara, Juliette Gréco and Micheline Presle), Jean Paul Gaultier Couture Spring/Summer 2002 (« The Parigote / La Parigote »), Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer 2005 (« The Gypsy Parisians / Les Parisiennes gitanes »), Jean Paul Gaultier X Pataugas Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 (Paris was one of the themes of this capsule collection), John Galliano Autumn/Winter 2007-2008 (this show was an homage to the ’20s Parisians), Kenzo by Humberto Leon and Carol Lim Resort 2015 (this collection was about the 2 designers « embracing their outsider status in Paris »), Les Tentativas by Anthony Tentativa Autumn/Winter 2010-2011, Monica Autumn/Winter 2005-2006 (several pieces featured tales which were influenced by Parisians from the ’40s).
