The Sam McKnight-styled graphic bobs of the Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld Spring/Summer 2014 Show were based on boyish pictures of Linda Evangelista in the ’80s, and on Japanese bob haircuts, and also referenced The Beatles’ hairstyles, in the ’60s.
Other Linda Evangelista-inspired item and makeup : House of Holland Autumn/Winter 2007-2008 (the 12th look of this show, which started with a slideshow of photographs of supermodels, including Linda Evangelista, was a minidress with a slogan which referenced Linda Evangelista), Rag & Bone Spring/Summer 2011 (for the makeup of this show, Gucci Westman took inspiration from the early « raw, sexy and beautiful » pictures of Linda Evangelista by Peter Lindbergh).

Oh yeah, look out, thank you ! Karl Lagerfeld’s use of color is so simple yet sharp ! No wonder this dress features on one of the visuals of Fendi’s S/S 2014 campaign ! What a stunning color gradient !

Indeed ! She was such a chameleon back in these “supermodel” days (I’ll always be nostalgic of this period when the supermodels ruled the world) ! xxxxx

Thank you my friend from Palm Springs for taking the time to enjoy some of my posts while you’re experiencing such a tragedy … This particular effect thanks to the wonderful graduating colors is really optimistic, I think. The pale colors that slowly become so vibrant … Take care, Mayann

I find Fendi (Linda) bobs very funny, but this dress is adorable. You picked my favorite piece from the show again, as usual 😀 xxx

Adore the strong opposing looks in this particular photo…
how the heaviness of her imperfect short, dark black, fringed mop…
contrasts with the clear cut precision of gradient layers of colour, in light organza, in her beautiful long dress…
simple opposites that really attract~
