Le Corbusier’s Villa Savoye, in Poissy, was the starting point of the Chloé by Clare Waight Keller Resort 2015 Collection.
Other Le Corbusier-influenced collections : Anndra Neen (for the designs of their jewelry line, Annette and Phoebe Stephens sometimes draw inspiration from Le Corbusier), Christian Lacroix by Sacha Walckhoff Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 Menswear (Le Corbusier was one of the references of this collection), Davidelfin Spring/Summer 2010 (the palette of this collection, highlighting blues, greens and whites, was based on Le Corbusier’s polychromy), Giambattista Valli Autumn/Winter 2007-2008 (bell and trapeze volumes, geometric motifs, and some reds and yellows were inspired by Le Corbusier), Girard-Perregaux (in 2012, the brand launched 3 watches which paid tribute to Le Corbusier), Noel Stewart Autumn/Winter 2006-2007 (one hat had the shape of one « Le Corbusier cube »), Roksanda Ilincic Spring/Summer 2007 (partly), United Bamboo Spring/Summer 2006 (Le Corbusier’s drawings inspired T-shirts ; when they unveiled this collection, United Bamboo’s designers, Miho Aoki and Thuy Pham, said that they were obsessed with Le Corbusier’s master plan for the city of Chandigarh).

Hmm, I don’t see it — but it was just the starting point. I could see the clothing walking in and out of the buildings. For some strange reason I keep coming back to marimekko fabrics.

Yes, a starting point is only a subtle reference in a collection ! I’ve chosen this particular image because of the clean lines. You’re absolutely right about the marimekko®-style fabrics (especially the floral one) ! XO

Oh, thank you so much, my wonderful friend ! Although they showcase printed fabrics, there’s something really minimal in these 2 silhouettes which is very appealing ! Yes, my weekend was great : I hope things are great for you too ! Mayann

Merci ! Oui, ces motifs sont gais, mais de façon subtile ! J’apprécie cette référence à l’œuvre du Corbusier (surnommé “le fada”, à Marseille). ❤

J’adore les imprimés, qui ne sont pas forcément facile à porter ! xx
